On Monday 20th January 2025, we had the immense pleasure of having a guest conductor – Gavin Holden. Gavin has vast experience with the baton and has directed some of the finest military bands in the country during his career, including Her Late Majesty’s, The Band of The Coldstream Guards.

We worked through two pieces: Appalachian Morning by Robert Sheldon, and Vicennial Celebration by Karl D.A.Whelan. It was an enjoyable session, if a little challenging, and the band really rose to the occasion.
